Hello Gents, I recently purchased this Lotus Elan with the romantic notion of restoring it to its former glory, but unfortunately I'm struggling with space to do the project.
It is an original full car but has not been run for seven years. It has not been subjected to a rebuild before and I have not tried to get it running, although if you rock the car gently in 2nd gear the crank does turn. I was informed that the car was running when it was parked up and showed good compression in all cylinders. The car has done 65000 miles and has a pile of previous MOTs and receipts to suggest it is true. The car has been resprayed in white at sometime in its life from its original blue colour (poorly if might add) and now the paint is flaking although there is no staring. With incomplete cars fetching between ?10k to ?13k for restoration I feel that ?12k is a fair asking price or I would consider a swap for an Elise.

Just to let you know folks, I did receive an offer that I accepted but the buyer has failed to get in touch with me or provide me with a deposit. He has never been to view the car and I have emailed him requesting that he pays the deposit by this evening or it will be readvertised.
The response to my advert has truly amazed me. If anyone is seriously interested in the car they can have first chance if it before I readvertise, just send me a PM with your contact number and I will call you back.
