PostPost by: Famous Frank » Fri Jul 31, 2015 3:29 am

FOR SALE - Lotus Elan Coupe : A bit of a project.

Frame appears to be rust free but I haven't removed the body to be 100% sure. Some previous owner cut off the motor mounts. I have another old frame I can remove the mounts from and provide them to the new owner. Seat frames included. It's a roller with Knock-Ons. New front clip included. Just needs a little TLC. Sold on Bill of sale. ID Plate included.

$7500 obo. Located in Marietta, GA near Atlanta, GA USA

Rebuildable Weber Head Motor available for additional $3,000.
Transmission could also be available.

Please see pics.

Thank you, Frank

Frank,
Looks like a good project for Gary Anderson? Right up his alley with the glass work required.

But seriously should make a good project with lots of TLC and cash.
Best of luck with the sale.

Ted and everyone. No, this is not the same car and this one has not "spent years" out in the weather. Between myself and the previous owner, we've owned it for many years. I've owned for a couple of years. The boot actually is in good shape and opens and closes as it should.

Please, it anyone is interested, please ask any questions. And if you'd rather talk than type, my phone is 678-596-1207. Also, some delivery is possible for a reasonable fee.

Thank you for the question,
Frank

NEW PRICE!!!! $6500

With 13 cars ( I know, yo may soon see me on the Hoarder TV Show) A couple have to go. The price of a divorce is much more than lowering the price. It needs a good home!

Many thanks,
Frank

Frank,

The number plate indicates a type 36 (S3) car, but the body is clearly a later S4 from the air vents and rear flares. What does the chassis number indicate?

Type 36 indicates that it's a fixed head coupe which can be S3 or S4

Cheers

Hey Frank,

I know it may not be your preference but if you aren't getting a buyer from your advert here then whack it on eBay. Your price is not unreasonable and if you set that as the start price and make offers that engine and box will be made available to the winner you might be surprised what it goes for. A lot of folk love a project along with a bit if bidder fever the worlds your lobster.

13 cars - do you live on a parking lot? If that were me she'd have already left me!
