Series 3 Fixed Head Coupe Elan 1967 in Cirrus White. Just 3 former owners from new! The car has been the subject of major restoration during the past 10 years and benefits from a bright red replacement Spyder chassis. Overall the car is in great running order. About 7 years ago had a new gel coat and cirrus white paintwork (original colour), (no cracks here) carpet and spotless headlining. All new discs, brake master cylinder, servo, pipes, rebuilt brake cylinders and brakes. The engine was professionally (cost ?4k) totally rebuilt including, reworked unleaded head with Sprint cams, new water & high pressure oil pump, piston rings & shell bearings. A replacement mark 2 "L" block was used in the rebuild - now very sweet - with bags of go as it should! Excellent 50 psi oil pressure. SE exhaust. Running correct Weber 40 DCOEs.Electronic ignition for reliability. Five x Super lotus knock on wheels with good tyres. Recent battery, with cut-off switch. All instruments working fine. Lots of history and bills. Photo record and details available of this mostly rebuilt and unmolested straight car. Comes with Colin Chapman steering wheel. Excellent glass all around in new rubbers. Lotus branded seat belts fitted. Many bills to show from Paul Matty. Can be sold with 12 months MOT but currently valid to October. Not a concours exhibit you'd be scared to take out, but a very good reliable (tax free) show car to enjoy. Hello,
I am curious to know where this car would be placed in the production run. Can you forward a partial unit number 36/xxxx?
Does it or did it have the the 2 side roof vents? Can you forward additional photo's?
