Hi Ray,
I have read the thread but I did not learn much about the condition of the car today. Also, do you have a few pictures than you can post?
Thanks much and happy holidays.

To save repeating the same thing to many enquirers,
The car is as complete as it was when I bought it in 1971,and as far as I
am aware, everything is working (except water temp gauge and dynamo) It was
ready to be MOT'd ?back in the summer, but work pressures prevented it.
There is no body damage at all, paint has cracked quite badly in some
places, probably due to excess paint rather than gel coat. The chassis is
original (well c1974) and in very good condition.
The interior is in very good condition ,with one small slit in the
headlining. The dash still has original red labels and only has cracks on
the glovebox lid. Obviously all rubber (bushes, tyres and rotoflex) although
appearing excellent, will need replacing. The car drives ,with care and mechanical sympathy, although I would recommend at least a rolling restoration!?
If anyone requires,I can take photos of any areas of the car that are required.
The photos on here were taken earlier this year, so are of the car in it's
present condition.
I am looking for offers of at least ?10k
I would prefer to communicate in the first instance via email, through the forum
Thanks to all that have enquired

Ray, sorry to hear that you are having to sell after so many years of ownership and after getting it so close to going back on the road.
I am interested as I have been looking for a restoration elan for a good while. I would have preferred a DHC but I have not found one as yet. I agree on the price of elans having peaked as already stated, even some dealers have now started to drop their prices.
I live north of Birmingham so it is a fair way to come to view and would appreciate some interior pics if it was possible. Seats, dash, boot etc.
Thanks,
John

I am really sorry to have messed everyone about, but I have decided not to sell the car,at the moment, and hopefully never. I was only selling due to being short of cash for a "once in a lifetime" business opportunity, but now my bank has come up with the necessary funding.?
Once again, thank you all for your interest, and I apologise most sincerely for any inconvenience I may have put anyone to.
As you can imagine, selling a car that you have owned, and loved for forty years, was not an easy decision, and not something that I entered into frivolously.
On a lighter note, hopefully I will be able to concentrate on the car again, now that my financial matters are sorted.
