Copy Of The Elan Manuals

PostPost by: mac5777 » Mon Aug 23, 2004 2:24 am

I think have looked in all of the normal places for lotus elans books relating to my 1967 lotus elan coupe 36/5785 USA car. And ended up finding and purchasing all of your recommented books and buying a lot of others also. But what I still need is the owners manual for that car, that relates only to it. The other books talk about +2's and other models and years. Maybe lotus did not supply one?? Any ideas or sources? Old posts?
Thanks Again, Sarto

I'm pretty sure Dave Bean has them. His web site, under books, shows:

036T 0324 Elan S3 Owner's Manual $17.62

Bill308, thanks!! I found it and will order it. A little spendy but he also has the parts book and workshop manual which should give me everything I need.
Thanks again for the fast help, Sarto

Original workshop manuals seem to go on eBay here in the UK for around ?15-?20!! Third party ones for much more?? Strange, you would think it the other way round. I paid about ?20 for mine in the eighties...
