Howdy All,
I am a SoCal owner of an S3/SE DHC (early one with rocker switches on dash). I bought the car new and imported it to SoCal. It has not run for a long time; will soon begin the process of getting it back on the road, just enough to get it road-worthy, then improve it gradually over time I think. Actually took the carbs off a while ago and hope to find time go through them first, just to get my feet wet again.
I heard there was a yellow S3 Elan at the LA auto show in 1966, so went up to the dealer in Montrose to try to buy it. That didn't work out, so ended up importing one myself just like it. I've been an enthusiast ever since.
Car is low miles and mostly original. Will post pictures in a while.
Hope many of the ya-who listers will migrate over here. This seems a good place for Lotus fans.
Ciao.
