Sprint seat foam replacement

PostPost by: IainP » Thu Jun 06, 2024 6:39 am

The seats on my car have become pretty uncomfortable.
Has anyone used the Aldridge seat foam kit? Or does anyone know the correct thickness and grade of foam to use?

I refurbished the base of the seats on my late Plus 2 using Aldridge 2 part pre-moulded seat foam and Newton Commercial rubber base diaphragm.

Interesting,. I didn't know they sold the foam, too. Will be following.

I made my seats very comfortable by installing thin, dense material over the springs and under the foam. The material I used is intended for use under gym equipment to protect the floor. The material I used is 3/16" thick I recall. It prevents the springs from "imprinting' through the foam. Several times I have driven for 500 miles with a stop for fuel only and my co-driver and I were ready for another few hundred-very comfortable!
