Sprint sun visors

I appreciate this has been discussed before, but not for a while. It appears the foam inside my visors has disintegrated and they are now mis-shaped. I see that new replacements can be purchased but I was watching a car programme on TV (Wheeler Dealers or equivalent) and they took some visors for refurbishment, I can't remember which programme and now can't find it. Does anyone know a company who can refurb as original in the UK?

Any good trimmer would be able to re-foam and re-cover for you. Just obtain the name of an Auto Trimmer local to yourself. They're easy to do.
A few years ago a lady that worked for me (who had a sewing machine), did exactly the same job on a pair of MGA Coupe visors., Better than new.

As I understand it, sun visors are / were seam welded, not stitched, so your average trimmer will not be able to help if you want them as per original. In fact, I do not think anyone would be able to repair them as per original, but happy to be corrected. That is why it has taken until very recently for someone, well, we all know who, to get them reproduced. If it was an easy task, they would have been remade years ago.

Aldridge can do the seam welding. Worth giving them a call....

I repaired my own by careful cutting and re gluing the seem at the hinge end. Can be seen if looking but not noticeable in day to day use. (Much less annoying that the rattle one of the frame had and the crunch feeling anytime you touched them.)

I need to get mine refurbished or replaced. Not sure about the cloak and dagger stuff Leslie , but any chance you would post up who supplies the reproduction sun visors (or send me a PM).

My S4 visors are 15.1/2" x 4.1/2". According to one Ebay listing the Suzuki's are 15" x 5".
Perhaps a little too deep if you're very tall, or perfect if you're a shorta**e

The (late '68) S4 visors are flat. I had only measured one of the visors. I've just measured the other and it is very slightly shorter at 15".
The visors in my '67 S3 FHC are both 15" x 4.1/2". and one has an oval vanity mirror. No mirror on the S4 visors.
Both types are in the confetti vinyl.
