Where do the side stripes go?

I am currently prepping my S4 Sprint body for painting, green over white.
I have the gold stripes to apply later.
Is there a guidance I can give the painter as to where the boundary is?
eg. draw a line from centre of front bumper to centre of rear bumper.. although none of the available images look like this!
Any tips appreciated!
Presumably the decals go over the same centre line?!
Cheers

Mmmmmm i think you have just opened Pandora's Box.
Lots of people will tell you when it's not correct in their opinion.
Have a look at past posts.
What green is it going to be painted.
Could you tell us where you bought the stick-on stripe please.
My Sprint is just in at the paint shop so nice to have some info.
Cheers

Here is a leaflet the late Mick Miller supplied regarding the fitting of the decals.

gentlemen and nerds
May I suggest a close look at the met. blue sprint in chris harveys book.( beautiful )
-and a close look at the orig. sprint brochure.
You will see that the line is drawn from around the bumper bolt as suggested and kept paralell to the bottom of the door opening That will be about 10 cm from bottom of the door.
At the rear bumper this will give ca. 3 cm. above bumper cut-out.
This will be for the top of decall.
If your decalls are of a modern pattern/ material this will allow the colour to shine through.
So much nicer if the background colour is a uniform white.
I like my AM burnham green. Also RR forrest green was in the run up.
Which green colours did you gentlemen go for ?
Best regards C. Garde

Errata
I must clarify my ramblings . (So sorry : old age ! with a little luck you will all experience your own decline )
Bottom of the front bumper bolt marks TOP of decal.
10 cm at the door to the BOTTOM of decal
3 cm at the rear to TOP of decal.
Maybe the best way to mark out the line colour/ white bottom will be to start with the door?

For on my Sprint
First is to inflate all correct size tyres to correct pressure.
Second check ride height is how i want it front and back.
Third i am taking my centerline between the Lagoon Blue and Cirrus White from the Centerline of Front Bumper Chrome Screw.
I would like to end up with the Stripe horizontal or very close.
Personal ideas and personal tastes as i see it.
Have fun

Agreed.
I actually colour matched the stripe and painted the rear decal, each to their own

hi 661,
do you mean you colour matched the Stripe to the part of the Stripe on the Door or coloured matched to the Bumpers. The Stripes are not the same colour as the Bumpers.
Would it be better to paint the Stripes when the Bumpers are painted
Alan
