Hi
I'm looking to put a new set of boots on my sprint.I know a lot of you like the michies but I will not run to that sort of money so I've been given some options 165 70 13 falken scinceras ,nankang ,and kumo ,they are all round 50 to 65 each mark.
Has anyone had dealings with these or anything else around that price.
Your thoughts would be appreciated before i spend my cash.
Regards
G

Interesting reviews
The tyres on my car at moment are Avon CR6ZZ 175 70 13 and feel very heavy when turning the wheel parking etc
They are old with only 2mm left so they are history now.
I am unsure of fitting 145 tyres as they seem too small 155 and 165 are I think where I should be aiming
Thoughts again guys
Regards

NOKIAN i line gets good reports for the Elan and are reasonably priced. .
I do have the Michelins on my Sprint and I have to say I am glad I made that investment.

Dougal, I think there’s no need to post the same message (advert) on three different tyre threads to promote your wares. Actually, I’m surprised it’s allowed. [Edit: it isn’t. See Policy and Rules in https://lotuselan.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=27077.]
But, nevertheless, it is good news about the tyre, and I think you can expect a call from me once my S4 resto is nearing completion.

Hi
I would love some pictures of an Elan on this new 155R13 Cinturato if someone is happy for us to use it in an advert or on our web site.
Apologies if my over posting upsets people. However when i get a new tyre made it is a massive investment, and i am very keep to spread the good news. If i don't do that the take up of a new tyre can be slow.
I think this tyre is really good news, particularly for you guys. The Dunlop, which is a pretty good tyre, is £ 159+VAT and i beleive the Cinturato to be a better tyre for an Elan. I think the XAS is a comparative tyre that might have the edge on motorways is £ 200+ Vodka And Tonic! One hundred smackers more the the new Skinned Tomato at £99+VAT. I would take the Cinturato over XAS on country lanes. I think that is great news for you guys. To be candid to get this to happen and keep that price, i had to buy loads. i am up to my eye balls in them. That is why i am keen to let you guys know they are now able get the good stuff. I have to spread the word or they dont sell fast enough, then we end up with old date codes. nobody wants that.
