Help with history of my car

I was wondering if anyone can help add some history to my current project? I have little to go on pre 1990 but if anyone can shed a little light that would be great. 1968 Elan S4 S/E FHC (early as has S3 de-mister grill but registered many years after sale) reg PLP 246L originally in Cirrus White. It was sold as a kit by Mike Spence Autos in 1968.

I have all the factory info from Lotus.
I am seeking info from previous owners or those who might know them to add depth and colour to the history.

And if you give him the chassis no. he can check his records to see whether he has previous info, he’s been collecting it for years!

Hi John, I am afraid I have no additional ownership details on your car.

I assume it was originally bought from Mike Spence in component form and remained unbuilt for four odd years, hence the late registration.
