Elan Parts List - Excel file

There are a lot of online sources for the parts list, but there is nothing like have it also off-line on the computer.
I scanned all the pages and OCR'd them. Then I put them into an Excel and corrected the errors (mostly text/data misplaced on the page).
I re-arranged some data on the page into new columns and prepared them for inserting the data into a database (more on that later).
There is some more work to do, but I think it is quite nice already.
So, here it is, the first part (of 3).
Please feel free to make comments, corrections, suggestions.
Do not expect part 2 for tomorrow ... less so, if there are good suggestions for a better version of it

Wow that takes some doing, Brill job.
Someone on here was talking about using a list like this to crate a definitive bolting list! they will get a real leg up once you have finished the second half.
Thanks

And if we really want we can do this - https://test.elanregistry.org/app/list_parts.php
I imported the sheet into a DB which you can search. I also based together a count of things called BOLTS. We could even convert the PN to a description.
And yes, I had nothing to do this afternoon

That pages does a good job of locking up the browser on my phone. I suspect that's down to the page size and probably works on on a desktop.
I am just (hopefully) finishing up a spreadsheet that can decode the bolt/screw/nuts/washer part codes. Which I was going to upload here.
Not sure if that's what you're referring to but having something like that in a web page would be useful. Probably more useful that a spread sheet

The spreadsheet is the preparation for a database import.

I get that. I am talking about being able to decode the part numbers for bolts etc in to a human readable text form.
I am not sure if that is included in the page or not ( as my phone can't cope with the pages).

It was just a quick example of what is possible. I didn’t do the translation

Please find attached newest version
I made a few error corrections, changes (thanks for the tips) and three new columns:
- moved text out of "change point information" to comments, when NOT related to "change point"
e.g. "Coupe only", "Failsafe"
- Added Columns Chassis from/upto: numerical values of change point text
"ChassisFrom" the number after any "From" indication,
"ChassisUpto" the number after any "Upto" indication,
some text lines changed to simplify the extraction function
- Added column "HandedPart", displays "LHD" or "RHD", if the "+" is present in the Steering LH / RH columns
Let more suggestions come in !

Hello,
I finished with part II & III, and a few corrections more on part I.
I will unite the three spreadsheets into one signle file tomorrow, if Excel holds up ...
I would like to ask for volunteers to review the files, as I go over and over I always find some small errors.
I need to correct the columns "Chassis from"/"Chassis from" as there are also engine change points.
I would also like to add a "car" column, as this is for the two seater but is expandable to the +2 (and should be done). If we get this right, other Lotus cars parts lists could be added.
Any other suggestions ?
Later this evening I will try to write down my vision for the parts database ...

XLS is too big (3MB), newer file formats XLSX and ODS are not allowed. ZIP neither.
So .... github:

There is a download button on the right.
