Can you identify this?

I suspect this is a fuel pressure regulator, but I've never seen one like it. If it is, is it set right?

You would be correct....... usually paired with an aftermarket electric fuel pump (https://www.advancedautomotives.co.uk/s ... 2304-p.asp)

I have a slightly different version regulator but i run mine on 2psi!! (yours looks like it's set to 4.5psi), that said i have Webers so couldn't say for sure if they prefer a different pressure.

Mine has ZS CD-175's. I wonder what pressure is recommended?

I have the same regulator feeding my stromberg carbs, purchased from Burton Power over 15 years ago. I usually set the pressure for 2psi.
