Interesting to hear, towards the end of the clip, that he has bought a Twin Cam Europa. I am also lucky enough to own both a Sprint and a Europa Special. Which one do I prefer - difficult question. From a practical point of view then the Sprint but.......I do have a soft spot for, and enjoy driving, the Europa. The sound of that Twink on full chat just behind my head takes some beating.

Happy New Year to one and all

I was quite surprised that he bought one but his description of how it drives is why I want one, as I always have but when I could afford one my wife said you cannot have one there ugly.. the debate continues

martin - im a bit jealous, as when i just finished my s3 elan, i bought a tc 5speed JPS black europa for 1500 deutsch mark (no documentation and 13000km on the dial) however part of the yard grew into the car: the carpets were part of a golf course!!! - so we smuggled her into switzerland (free of unnecessary fees!!) ---- started restoration and got tired. ....... so i sold the car for 1500DM without the head (= free head) sandy PS: never drove the car

I?ve been fortunate enough to own three Elan?s (S1, S2 & S4) and a 72 Europa TC. The Europa is far more engaging to drive and as commented, the sound of the TC behind your head with your foot on the throttle is pure music to a petrol head like me.

My Europa has just been completed after a three year frame off restoration and is for sale. Big $$$$ but it?s basically a new car. It?s very quick being built as a fast road car. Here are the details:

As with all my rebuilds, full photo documentation of the rebuild on the Europa web site, all receipts and videos to view.

He doesn't look any different from a documentary about him I recorded in 2012, lots of similar history. He had just launched his T25 small car but I don't remember seeing any on the road. Now he has just launched his T50 supercar with (legal) fan assisted downforce, 4 litre V12 with 12,000 rpm and under a ton. ?2.6M.
