Brian Buckland book 2nd Edition

Hello Robin,
The book 2nd Edition has a completely rewritten Engine Section. It is very detailed. To give you some idea the section has an extra 40 pages. I cheated a little when I initially wrote the book falling back on the Miles Wilkins book. However with a bit of Elan owner arm twisting I took the hint and hopefully the my labours have been worthwhile. It took me too long and for that I apologise.
My best wishes to all you super Elan people, owners of the finest car in the world.

Hi Brian,
I have a copy of your book and I just want to say "Thank you!" It has proven very help in understanding series differences, build variations, and correct assembly details. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.
Best regards, Andrew

I bought the 2nd edition despite having a 1st edition, and have been pleased with the purchase. The new engine section is quite worthwhile, and though I love the loose-leaf/binder version in the shop, having a bound version is simpler to flip through or read when relaxing in your favorite chair or lying on the couch. Would buy it again, even if only to in appreciation to Brian and Gherit and to support the vendors stocking it.

Hello Brian,
Sorry to ask again, but any news on the supplement release date and is the supplement likely to include the Table of contents page as well.
I know the TofC is available for download but it would be good to have printed on the same resilient paper used previously.
Thanks
Peter

Hello guys,
I am Guillermo, the mad guy Brian has selected to do the dirty work on his book .
In a few minutesI will post some details regarding prices, shipping US and pre-order offer in the main thread:
lotus-talk-f50/brian-buckland-2nd-edition-update-and-requests-t41416-60.html
@elanman (aka Brian), you should do some more posts, I just found out you have only 24 posts on your counter !!! Maybe more Elan owners will get to know you ... you will need some PR to get your new book sold ...
(just joking. Brian is brilliant and we all know.)
@Peter +2, regarding the ToC printing on better paper, I can check that, but depending on your printer you could do that by your self. Buy some glossy ca. 150gr/m? paper and print it there.
I have only doubts whether the 4 holes are easy to drill with a normal office punch.
The "engine section supplement" will include at least the ToC of the chapter.
If interest is sufficient or general opinion is favourable, I can include the pages of a ToC for the 1st edition. For that enquiry I will start a new thread.
Thanks
Guillermo

Missed to include the following:
"engine chapter replacement" will be available in 2019, but not ask for it in May again.
As you can see, ringbinder production is quite slow and expensive.
One thing after another. As soon as I see some light (not while dying), I get to that.
