S4 Rear light section

PostPost by: Concrete-crusher » Wed Jan 02, 2019 6:01 pm

Hi

Does anybody have an unwanted S4 Rear light section or an S4 rear body mould?

My rear end is flat like the S3, the S4 is raised around the lights

I m going to do a respray soon so would like to get the rear looking correct and for that I need add in the raised light mouldings by bonding in the raised section to the otherwise flat board

Hope this makes sense

Hi,
you should contact user Dieschelan. He has an S3 with S4 lights and he is going to change that in the next months. I suppose he has no use to the cut out, so if you are not in a hurry, he could save it for you.

Does anybody have a 3d or sketch up or cad file which includes the rear light mounting part of the body?

I realise today I could have the section printed on a 3d printer and just cover with fibreglass

Just a. Hope

Hi Steve,
Wouldn't it be easier to take an S4 car (of a friend or forum member) wrap it with cling film and pull a mold off it? Just a thought...

There are internal differences so just sticking the outer shape to the flat won?t entirely solve your issue. I?d suggest you need a rear clip and cut out the section you need and bond in a replacement. I?d suggest you give Boss Motors a call and see if they have one available - if not I doubt it would take them very long to lay one up and I can?t see it being an unreasonable cost.

Let us know.
