I know I posted this last year when the pictures came out for the 2017 tour and I don't think I got an answer (search doesn't bring it up), so, I'll ask again: Is this anyone we know? Looks like Maryland plates. This is from
the 2018 tour.

Dunno, but I do like the blue. Close to Lagoon but it pops more.

Wow I really like that blue. I would love to know what paint code that is.

The color is a 1964, 65, 66, 67 Medici Blue. I'm not sure if that's the same car but the good folks at Motorsports Magazine have been restoring a S1 Elan for the past 1 1/2 years as a magazine project. It's just recently finished and was presented at the Amelia Island Concours in Florida. The tour was a precursor to the Concours. It may be the same car.
Numerous vendors have been donating toward the restoration project. I donated interior components, R&D Enterprises donated numerous parts, and TwinCam Sportscars donated expertise. It's a great series of articles in restoring an early Elan that was beyond restoration possibilities. The article was called RESTORATION IMPOSSIBLE!

Hmmmmmmm, at $1100+ per day, I don't think I'll be on tour, not that they'd allow a shabby car like Yelotus anywhere near them anyway!

That's pretty similar to the one that's at Wire Wheel now. The front badge, wheels, and hood/bonnet are different though. http://www.wirewheel.com/1970-Lotus-Ela ... dster.html

Hi Frank, I have been collecting many pictures of both original unrestored cars and restored cars claiming to be Medici blue, and this one looks darker in these pictures than what I have seen as Medici. I am still trying to get some paint mixed up and/or matched to Medici blue to check against the old paint of my Seven S2 to see if it is in fact Medici Blue (in its first paint) It can be very difficult to get a representative photograph of some of these colours. Here are two pictures that I think are quite representative of Medici blue.

Sorry about the odd notes about the attachments in the post. I am still struggling with posting pictures.
