Inspection Service

PostPost by: fattogatto » Tue Oct 06, 2015 9:21 pm

Just bought an S2 north of Philly (Bala Cynwyd area). Any members close by who could take a look at the car and advise?

Thanks,

Gents,

I suggested this forum to Mr. Gatto based on the outstanding knowledge base that resides here.

Would someone be available to look at this car for him?

Thank you.

Try contacting member TedTaylor.. He has a small business buying & selling cars.. He has a website www.taylormadeclassiccars.com
& is very knowledgeable about elans.
You can probably come to an arrangement, I think he is within 20 miles of there...

Ted Taylor is a good recommendation. Also RD Enterprises, one of the recommended parts suppliers in the US, is not too far north in Quakertown: http://www.rdent.com. Ray, at RD is certainly knowledgeable although inspections are a bit out of his normal line of business. He might be able to recommend others in the area. I just realized that you might be looking for someone in the Memphis area rather than Bala Cynwyd.

Try Don Butler 302-559-9374
http://www.unionjackexotics.com/about.html
He's right up in the area, and may already know the car.

Post some pictures if you want a general opinion ?
A good opportunity to get to know the supplier of any parts you need & for them to get to know you and your car ?

Hi Charlie, welcome to the group. Good luck w/ your Elan purchase. I'm too far away to do an inspection on your purchase, but if you go east to pic it up, Columbus is a nice 1/2 way stop.. Elan and Formula Jr and Modus F3 side diversions.

Although we've never met, I've been to your home when we picked up my friend Dave's RR timber frame RR project. that shared container space w/ your shadow, years ago.

Thanks Roger. I'm having it delivered. Looking forward to getting back into the beasties after about 25 years away.
