Can you use an europa motor in elan. The twin cam of course. I think there is a pully running off the cam perhaps for the pump? Is this and issue or will it fit in a 1971 elan? Thanks

You need a different cam cover to support a camshaft driven pulley.

Mike is correct, the lower bottom hose connection faces forward on a TC Europa while the Elan is from the side.
The water pump belt has no adjustment on a Europa but that is just a mater of fitting the Elan alternator/generator and brackets.
As I recall I think the flywheel has a different spigot bearing and as mentioned you would need to remove the Europa's pulley from the camshaft but basically the engine is the same.
You can use the Europa's cam cover with a suitable seal depending if you change the Europa's inlet camshaft.

The standard Europa's inlet camshaft would poke a hole in the bulkhead. Either change it, cut off the extension, or if it has D type cams (2 grooves) pleas sell them to me.
