I know that the vendor(s) has/have attracted some less than flattering comment, here and elsewhere, but what does the team think this sort of car is really worth?

Seems good one's do.. Price is not that different from those advertised by other dealers. I suspect the POA prices might be even higher...

I can tell you that Sprints in the USA are going for in the 40's USA dollars.
Still not the equivalent of you are saying here in pounds. but not that far off.

Monotone? It makes only one sound?
Think they mean monochrome. Doesn't change the price, and it does seem that those are on the up-and-up. Maybe they'll get it.

Silly money for a FHC, no chance it will sell for that amount any time soon. No great provenance attached to the car, no famous owners, it's been restored to a high standard according to the advert, so what?
if it was a DHC the price would be realistic but only if subject to negotiation.
Talke off ?10,000 and that's the ballpark for a top FHC car freshly rebuilt.
Just my not so humble opinion of course

Hmmmm... I thought that Sprints were back onto Webers by 1973 (of course we know what Lotus were like), those tyres look enormously "high-profile" to me. Good to see a proper plank of wood dash, rather than some tarty burr venereal thing. And should the cam cover be red? My Dellorto car has black but who knows?
Cheers,
Pete.

Hmm, 47,000 pounds. If by only looking at the pictures it sounds like a bargain to me. Although for the kind of money the engine should have been properly tuned and run in. Also the dash pad should fit the dash properly on the left side.
Nice looking car.

Adjustable height front shocks..?. Seem to be trendy now that you can't actually buy original Armstrong shocks , well I couldn't find them..

marklowe wrote:Hi,
The car now is marked as sold on the Car and Classic website, I don?t think that the new owner would have paid the full asking price, look at the FHC Sprint Paul Matty has just added to his stock priced at ?39?500.
Mark
Is that the same car? Can't be a coincidence
