I'm excited to have just gotten news from Andy Graham about my Elan,
the first owner was a mr B.M. Wetherill,
so I googled his name and lotus together and found this:
http://www.sebringsprite.com/pdf-files/ ... ings02.pdf
he appears in the second paragraph driving an eleven...and I'm guessing that's my man.
anyone know of a B.M. Wetherill?

Bump!
I'm wondering If anyone can help with info or suggestions.
Does anybody know of a B.A. Wetherill involved in the 750 Motor club and possibly racing a Green and Yellow S3 FHC Elan?
OR,
could anyone tell me what class of racing a 1966 S3 FHC could have been entered in with the 750 motor club between 1967 and 1979.
The car was sold new in kit form to a Mr B.A. Wetherill and was not registered in the UK for the first 12 years of it's life.
When it WAS first registered it was green/yellow.
I've found evidence of a B.A. Wetherill driving a Lotus eleven in a 6 hour relay at Silverstone with the 750 club in 1961. All this adds up to me guessing he raced the Elan. Even though the car is now very unmodified.
any input would be much appreciated including any search technique ideas.
thankyou!

Jim
You'd probably be better asking these questions over on tentenths or on TFN. They're very knowledgable about the 60's motor racing scene.
For some reason I thought your car went to Spain first off but I clearly have that wrong!

Thanks Tim,
What does tfn stand for?
The Spain thing was a red herring! The cars before and after mine on the line went to Alton SA in Spain, while mine was sold in the uk. The theory goes that someone at lotus mixed it up and told the previous owner the wrong cars' info!
Pretty wild.
