I hope to MOT and re-register my three owner S2 next week. I took the car apart two years ago (to the day), the body came back from the paint shop eleven months ago.
My still have to source a hood and tonneau, does anybody know if Don Trimmings offerings have a light grey underside?
And many thanks to Clive at PMS, Richard at Keledon, Sue, Jeff at JAE, Colin for the rare parts and Rohan for the technical advice
Oh and now I think of it I have a heap of parts, new and used, that I'll be listing on eBay soon or drop me a line if you're looking for something.

Mazzini the car is looking great
I notice that the rear view mirror in the "Refresh" picture is silver.
This is the second car I've seen with a silver mirror.
I should think that the other picture I saw was taken in '63 or '64 - so the mirror was almost certainly original.

Mazzini, that's a great restoration ! I like the red paint. Can't wait to hear how it drives.
I knew the original owner Roy in the 80s here in Michigan He was a very nice guy and a gentleman. The same goes for Mazzini who I met through this forum. We were able to have breakfast with the second owner a few years ago and I've really enjoyed staying in touch . It's great to know the car is in good hands.

Thanks Mark. The previous owners and the widow of the first owner helped pick the colour - BMC Tartan red, it's less orange than Carmen. I would have kept the car green, but in an age of giant SUV's I thought being visible was more important.

My unit is next to one of the worlds leading Jaguar restoration specialists whom have their own machine shop, paint shop and endless supply of stainless fasteners etc.. and across the road is a good tyre shop and powder coaters. Some times you have to look at the bigger picture
Shocking news about Denis Welch, hope that wasn't the race that you were competing in.

The back of the mirror is grey in colour, it's the same as was used on the Elite.

Hello --
We traded e-mails about 5 years ago -- I was the owner of Roy Bacon's Sunbeam Tiger [ it's now back in England] and was looking for info. on Roy and the car. Roy Bacon's stepson is with the US embassy in Ireland, makes visits to England, and would like your contact information and to see the Elan. Unfortunately, I've lost that info. and wondered if you could resend it.
Please pardon this method of contacting you as I fumbled about the website for awhile but couldn't find a direct method of e-mailing.
