Yesterday I collected my Elan S4 after having it resprayed in Regency Red and Gold Bumpers. Now starts the serious work!! Hope the photo is attached as It's my first time.

Paint looks great. Can you supply some description of what type of paint was used and the cost? I am looking to get involed in a restore project and am trying to come up with the proper budget all in. A proper respray has to be the biggest single cost?

Love the color combination. I had started to think gold bumpers looked 'ugly and dated' I opted for silver on my car. I'm going to have to re-think the 'ugly and dated' position after seeing your car.

Thankyou for the compliments. In answer to the questions, the car was painted in 2 pack synthetic paint followed by 4 coats of lacquer and a polishing process. Resprays cost from about ?5K upwards. I will put more photos on the forum as the rebuild progresses.
