elan value

What is a realistic value for a lotus elan. I have an elan sprint fhc i've had for 17 years. Its not concourse but a good useable car i spent a lot of money on about 12 years ago. A friend has shown an interest in the car and as i'm half way through another project i was tempted to consider selling, but i'm finding it impossible to put a value on the car. Prices range on the net from 15k to 40k. What value is a normal car.

40k selling
15k buying
Just a weee joke jimmy!
I think they sell from more in the UK than the US.

"Prices range on the net from 15k to 40k". Exactly, as does the condition. If your paintwork needs doing and the interior is less than perfect, a runner with MOT will be mid to high teens. If it`s immaculate then ?30K so, not knowing how long your piece of string is, somewhere inbetween.
