Hi All,
The time of year for Elan Touring in Japan last month which I had attended for only one day this year.
Again, there were about 40 Elans gathered at the event and we had toured around Mt. Fuji on the first day.
There was also Gymkhana at the parking lot of the Hotel in the afternoon which I couldn't join since I didn't registered for this event but it was cool to see everyone trying hard at it.
Here are some pictures from the day one. It is another great event and seeing all the Elans and owners.

Excellent photo's, thanks for taking the time to post them.
Interesting to see quite a few of the Elans with Bullet style mirrors, nearly all have them mounted on the wings, do you know if they were original for Japanese specification?

Hi Alan,
The mirrors had to be mounted on fender not on door pre-82 or so in Japan.
Most of Elans were imported in 80s to mid 90s from all over the world and if there were no mirrors on the car then you had to mounted on fender, door or window frame.
Some people don't want to drill a hole on the Fiberglass Body so they installed on the window channels.
My case, I mounted the mirrors on fender where it gives you better visibility.
If I had a choice I would rather not mount a mirror at all to keep the original body line of Elan as they are.
