Chrome bumpered S2 - found picture

Since being layed off, and becoming a burden on society. I've had time to go through things I haven't looked at in years. I came across a photo I took years back of an S2 with chrome bumpers. It has the vanity plate 66Lotus from California, the car was silver, and I remember taking the picture at an all British car event in the LA area approx 15-20 years ago. I know there has been some discussion on this in the past and was wondering if it was worth the effort to have this photo scanned so it could be posted for discussion.

Graham Arnold said that he had a pair made up & moved them from car to car for marketing purposes... Maybe you saw the press car with them on?

Here's the first Coupe complete with Chrome bumpers...the set commisioned by Graham. I'd be interested to see an S2 with Chromies on!

I heard from another source that the car belongs to Roberta Bean of Dave Bean Engineering. I'll try and get a scan of it this weekend sometime, or I guess I could take a digital photo of the photo. I'll try that first to see how it turns out.

I wonder if a chrome wrap, such as was done on Evoras used in the new movie "Host", would work on the Elan bumpers.

I would think that you could easily get a pair of bumpers wrapped with chrome vinyl to look exactly the same, and for very little money.
