The second link shows the SMART aka Stirling Moss Elan that was also driven by his secretary, I wonder if this is an indicator of where it ended its days

Years ago I remember reading in Classic and Sports Car that somebody rescued a 47 from Angola, I could never understand what it was doing there, I guess this goes someway to explaining.

The Elan which was involved in the accident was 26-S2-6 originally sold to Carlos Gaspar and now resides in the UK owned by Stephen Bond and is regularly raced here.
