Insured (Agreed) Value

PostPost by: holywood3645 » Sat Jul 28, 2012 10:25 pm

I was wondering what the Insured (agreed) Value most of the insurance companies offered on our elans? My car has just had a frame off restoration everything new or rebuilt engine gearbox diff (zero miles) New suspension bushes etc. New leather interior, dash, brakes, electric wiring, bodywork refininshed with finishing veil (aka Nicofiber) new paint etc. The car has took over 4000 hours of labour to finish.

I wanted an agreed value for replacment fo $50,000 however the insurance company (Parash Hecock) are offering $35,000. I would have thought if I was willing to pay additional they would meet the aggreeded value I ask.
They agreed insurance value prior to restoration was $20.000

Comments?? Advice
