PostPost by: Steve G » Wed Mar 21, 2012 4:37 pm

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3749399.htm

It's LHD, Federal Spec (I think), is in bits, shell is missing paint, no exhaust or pistons, need reupholstering and up for ?13,995.
I really hope it sells for this, makes me feel very good about my car's 'value'.

Somewhat ambitious, I'm thinking.

Didn't get past ?8,000 on eBay, so sure ask for ?14,000 on Pistonheads, you may get lucky....

Started at ?5,000 ($8,000) in Michigan...

Barn find, you've gotta love that term, what were barn finds called before there were any barns?

I really like the seller's description, it's really honest and refreshing, and he finishes with "NO RESERVE. It`s worth what it`s worth." If only all sellers of priceless 'unfinished project' cars could be so realistic.

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barn
A barn meant for keeping cattle may be known as a byre.

......so I suppose it was a ?Ye Olde Byre discovery?

That's because the seller is The Great Jim Jackson- as honest as the day is long and a member on here; in fact:

Jim, mine's a pint of bitter.
