I can start. Santa (with Foster Cooperstein's help via a trip to the post office) delivered Brian Buckland's manual. "Tome" doesn't really do it justice. I've barely had the chance to leaf through it, but am looking forward to it's help in my rebuild.
Anyone else get something exciting in their stocking. (Check your low-brow jokes at the door, please )
Happy Holidays to all,
Dave

Dave - my apologies for this on your thread!
Ed: As I understood it you were going to let things lie!
As you have decided not to:
I trust the endoscope is closely linked to your New Year resolution ? I really do pray it stops you spouting so much crap!
I can still spell and you?re still a Moron.

I too was fortunate enough to receive Brian Bucklands most excellent book. Also some heated handlebar grips for my bike. It's a bit sad that I have had to break it to the donor of these two fantastic gifts that both the bike and the car are going to have to be sold. posting.php?mode=edit&f=15&p=154964#

Another copy of Brian Buckland's manual here as well.
I'd read about it on the internet and often wondered if another "book" would be worth ?50 because I've already collected most of the useful references over the years, but now I've actually seen it, the answer is undoubtedly YES. In fact it's wrong to call it "a book", it is massive and I'm amazed at the detail he's packed in there. Even more importantly his writing style is spot on, it's like a mate talking you through a process rather than a dry list of instructions you usually have in a workshop manual. To anyone out there wondering like I was, the answer is "go & get one", you'll not regret the purchase.
Two presents I didn't get, yet again are 'Some unusual engines' - LJK Setright (too expensive) and 'The Romance of Engines' - T Suzuki (ditto, but at least available free as a soft copy).
Couple of nice pairs of socks though...
Jeremy
Both of those sound interesting, where exactly are the electronic copies available for free though?
