Any S1 or S2 parts that you recognize - where do they go?

I emptied the contents of a coffee can and took a couple pictures. This is some of the interior fasteners, screen bolts, some under bonnet stuff and just about anything else that would fit in the can when the body came off. Notice only 2 seat belt attachment bolts? The other two were rusted solid into the body lattice and were cut away and tossed. I didn't do much labeling, like none as usual. Most of this can be ID'ed as a process of elimination upon re-assembbly . It may be fun to identify key parts and where they go, or maybe not, but a lot of original parts and hardware that were installed on 26/4020 when I got it. Most ought to clean up ok, I am sure that some will be binned but I'll just have to wait and see.

That looks like the box of bits I always have left over when I try to rebuild something I expect you need a good couple more cans of parts like this to complete a CN Sprint?
The parts list from Matty's is pretty comprehensive, but I bet there are bits in your coffee can that are now made of unobtanium as far as the major spares suppliers are concerned. I try not to throw anything away these days when it comes to my cars, some people might think I throw it all away and start with totally new stuff apart from the shell, nothing could be further from the truth when it comes to the bodywork and interior and I always read this sort of thread to try and learn about the small important bits that make up our cars.
Regards

fun quiz.... if serious, adding to the above... the retangular hookey looking things are spacers for the side window/frames; the alum. curved things are to hold some sort of seal by the top of the doors.....though I have them haven't reinstalled mine yet. Though they look trivial don't chuck the "tinnerman"? or whatever they are called nuts and screws, I found it difficult to find screws to work in new nuts available....oddly, guess the thread pitch is somewhere between wood screw and plastic screw..??

A bit of an update. I wasn't too serious as to what each part is but thought it might be fun for some of us. I put labels on some of the parts (that fit) and will add a few more later. I probably don't know what they all are but like I said process of elimination helps a bunch when re-assembling.
The temperature was in the mid 70's F yesterday afternoon so I cleaned up some of the rust, I just hit them with this wire wheel to see what was re-usable. I found some that will be binned but most looks to be serviceable with some new washers and/or nuts.

Gary,
Did the sea get into your coffee tin last time you were flooded, or is that genuine Lotus rust?

Hi Pete
26/4020 sat out side next to a barn on Long Island, N.Y. for 25 or so years. The cantrails were still erected when I bought it, one of the trim gutters dropped away on the LIE (long Island Expressway) as the ally rivets had rotted away. When I got it back to the shop in Greenbush, I started to see what was there. The gear lever was rusted in place and it took a hammer and some light blows to get its attention. $1900 was the price of this site unseen purchase. Here it is as bought.
after a bit of work to fix the holes that were added by the ttactor rake that was used to clear out around the Elan that freed it from it 25 plus years of confinement.

Hey G,
Isn't that thingy in the upper left of your photos with a 2 bolt flange one of the ends to the pedal shaft. I see lots of trim pieces too, but you already knew that.

Hi Roger
This Elan is one that I took apart and I don't like removing the pedal pivot from the Elan body, I just grease the pivot hole before painting. There are some labels on the photos on this page but haven't finished it yet.

The wooden blocks in picture 2 are spacers at the bottom of the cavity the doors to which the trim panel is attached.
