s3 elan

Hi all,

Attached is a recently found picture sent to me by my wife's nephew. The elan was our honeymoon car and took us to Innsbruck in Austria. Well it did but the cylinder head gasket blew just before we got there. A few days of the honeymoon were spent changing it. This was in the '70's so the Ford agent in Innsbruck had the gasket set in due to the Lotus Cortina's being around at the time.
The elan is not registered at present so presumably is sitting in someone's garage awaiting repair again. Would love to track it down and buy it back.
The 4 seater morgan is now white.
Still have morgans but now keeping my eyes open for an s3 or s4 elan restoration project as a result of this picture bringing back memories of elan ownership in years gone bye.

Wasn't sure where to post this being a newbie and getting used to the forum.

You could try asking the DVLC if it is registered or SORNed.

The might be unwilling to say who has it, but at least you would know it still exists.

What is the registration mark?

Looks like: OUK 667F but then my eyesight isn't what it was!
