In one of the "bits and bobs" boxes that I acquired with the incomplete elan are these gauges, I've had a nose on the internet but couldn't find what they're actually from.
I'm sure someone on here will know in a nanosecond Any ideas please?
Thanks,
Mark.

I'd say the rev counter is likely to be from the Elite, Eclat, Excel range, the speedo has the same text/font and the same style pointer so would likely come from the same car, the only negative I can see to that is that there is no 'Lotus' logo on the speedo and i'm fairly sure the rev counter and speedo used to be almost mirror images of each other. The dual guage certainly is midget, sprite, riley etc if the no. is GD1301/21 but Lotus adapted many instruments for their use - could also easily have been a replacement instrument when the original gave up the ghost.
The instuments ought to have serial nos somewhere - usually just under the centre of the needle or on extreme edges around 4 o'clock. Might be able to be more certain if you can find these numbers.
The one on ebay looks very similar but does not have the chromed bezel - maybe this suggests a later car in the range perhaps Eclat or Excel?
Good Luck with your search.

Hi folks, thanks for the replies. Yes had a carpeted garage for many years now, for my benefit aswell as the cars with increasingly creaky knees!
Ok the rev counter says rvc2413/00 on the face of it and a sticker with 442 on the back if that's any use?
The speedo says snt-6201/36 1000 on the face and 089 on a sticker at the back of it.
The oil pressure/coolant temp says gd 1301/21 on the face but nowt on the back.
Cheers,
Mark.
