monkey metal

Firstly I should say that I have no experience in the restoration of the so called 'monkey metal' as found on the rear light fitments on the sprint. As such the units on my resto were badly pitted so have committed to a new set from Sue Miller.

However when delivering my window frames to 'brighthouse' in peterboro' they mentioned having become able to restore the original items - perhaps this may be of help to others.

Their phone number is 01733 266138

Richard,
can you let us know how well they do with the window frames please and whether you consider them good value?

thanks

They did the window frames on my +2, and all the other bright work except the lights. All work to a high standard, if a little slow. I know both Spyder and the Myers use them, so they are familiar with most Lotus items. They also do anodising. Worth getting a quote first..

Communication is best by phone or fleshmail (visit them!).

Jeremy
PS not sure how to measure value - I'll let you know in few years! My car sits outside all year so any faults in chrome will show up pretty quickly.
