brief questions

A mate is fitting cv driveshafts to his S2, anyone know the torque tightening spec for the 12 per side (VW) bolts?

Also, has anyone purchased carpet kits from Sue Miller? Would be interested in feedback, and of course, the cost.

I bought Su Millar Carpet set. Closest to original I thought. She cuts them herself and they are very good. Supplied with instructions etc. Boot carpets a bit of a head scratcher but went in OK eventually.

Yep. Not bad at all. Can't remember price though. Ask her and get a price list sent. She will probably be at the Malvern show next month.

Happy days.. Clocks forward this weekend guys..

I am awaiting delivery of a carpet set from Sue so I can't comment on the quality yet, although I have only heard the best (and would trust Alex without a question), but the price was around ?250 + VAT, not including the boot. I can't get the exact amount at the moment as I'm away on a trip, but it was roughly about that much.

Price in winter 2008/09 list supplied last summer is ?135 + vat for interior and ?40 + vat for boot. She says prices have gone up, but surely not to ?250+ vat.

I'll have to check for sure when I return from this trip. I suppose it's possible that I've switched the prices in my head of the two items I ordered. Sorry if I've given the wrong information.

Finally back and I checked my invoice, and Ivor is 100% right. I was remembering the price of both the carpets and the spinners I ordered together. The carpets were indeed ?135 plus VAT, not including the boot.

I think I am possibly just a perpetual pessimist and think everything is twice as expensive as it actually is, that way I am never disappointed.

The carpets look great by the way. I'm really looking forward to fitting them.

Are the carpets made from cut pile or loop pile material? The original (S4 & maybe earlier models as well) were from loop pile which I thought was no longer available.

Already got headaches searching for a good, well fit carpet set! Advise: Beware buying one at ebay.co.uk, this one don't fit at all, you have to recut & repile it yourself. BTW: You can get mine (atlas grey, never fitted) for little money but be ready to modify...
