Do most agree that Brian Buckland's book on Elan restoration is the one to have??? My S-3 is apart and will soon be finding its way back together again..........
Is there a source in the US for the book??

There could be some other US book vendors with a copy, I don't have much in the way of listings on them.

bluesbrother30,
I ordered one from Club Lotus in the UK. It's on this page (look for item B1) on their website: http://www.club-lotus.co.uk/club.php?id=13.
I sent them an e-mail asking about payment/shipping, and I was able to use my credit card (very secure transaction). It arrived within a week or so of ordering, and was priced reasonably. Annemarie at the Club was my poc, very helpful, very professional.
I do not think that the link elancoupe provided will get you anywhere - I tried contacting them a couple of times with no response. It's my understanding there are no "new" books available in the US.
Great book, BTW, lots of good reading, great pictures.
Good luck!

I have found this book extremely good in conjunction with the official manual - it fills in the gaps in a very practical and useful way that comes from someone with loads of practical experience.
The section covering suppliers is extremely useful and gives excellent insight on parts that are no longer available - would strongly recomend.. and good luck with your project.

If you order from Club Lotus, the book actually comes directly from the author. Even with shipping from the UK it must be cheaper than the absurd price the rebuildingalotuselan website is asking.
It's a great book, but not meant to be a single source of reference. As the author mentions, it's meant to supplement the workshop manual rather than replace it.
