Shouldn't "CID" be same on various Federal emission plates?

Aren't all the engines 1558, yet I have two Federal emissions plates off +2, one showing 1970 compliance reading 95.19 CID and 1972 one showing 95.06--they're in not that great condition but this seems to be what they indicate. My car is 72 year build, what should emission plate read? Thanks Gordon Sauer

Gordon,
The 1972 engine will be the "Big Valve" and will be a little different in emmision terms to the 1970 engine.
I guess some of your US colleagues may be aware of the carb settings relating to the compliance figures.
