PostPost by: rocket » Fri Oct 02, 2009 10:16 am

I have a new motorbike which lives next to my lotus,i have been enjoying it over the last few sunny weeks and i think my car is moody.Took her a drive after she had sat in my garage watching me go out on bike and she threw a piece of dash at me...is she alive? She is acting like my wife...

I have never detected moodiness in my Elan, but I'd swear that my Rover V8 displays it. The Rover was my everyday all-purpose runabout for years and I sometimes neglected to have it serviced in a timely manner. The car would eventually indicate its displeasure by misfiring. I discovered that if I patted it on the dashboard and promised to get it serviced as soon as possible, the misfiring would stop.

Probably enough material for a psychiatric conference there!

You are right. That why my car on the avatar is gone and an Elise sits in her place.

Could get nothing done on the track car for pampering. Spooky.

Do I need help!

Of course they're moody!! I'm surprised you have to ask!
Always pat the dash and say thanks for a great time...

Mine doesn't like me to drink coffee while driving. One time it wouldn't start until I poured the coffee out. It likes 100% of my attention on it. I've recently started listening to the stereo while driving and, so far, it's been OK with that. It also seems to get particularly loud if I try to talk on my mobile phone. So moody.... definitely. My Porsche used to respond to cursing, especially some of those good German ones. My Elan responds best to kindness. Chevy Astro van responds to nothing, Honda doesn't require anything much more than regular oil changes. :)
