Information on Lotus Elan Found in Florida Keys

Hi Just found this car in the UK, it was exported from Florida in 1991 after being found in the Keys it has a Vegantune engine anyone have any information on this car?

vin is 367432 1968 S3 Fixed Head

Its was very distinctive, metallic dark red with gold panels on the roof, headlamps, rear panel and pilars. the original colour was yellow

Not sure if it was an original US car or UK car exported to the US.
