2001 SV Caterham

PostPost by: catman » Wed Jul 01, 2009 5:05 pm

I recently purchase a new 2001 SV Caterham, I was wondering if any Caterham owners may have a solution to my problem. On the tachometer there are three LED indicator lights. I know the green one in the center is for the turn single and the left is the high beam indicator and I think the red one on the right is generator/alternator light. I know the car is charging with 14 volts back to the battery but the light still stays on. Has any one out their experience this problem please advise me on how to fix this problem.

Remove the small wire from the alt and do a voltage test onto the alt terminal this should be zero at rest and then the same as the output voltage when running if not the alt is faulty and may be puting out low amps .
