Lotus Elan Art

As advertised on the bottom of the front page here - is it me or do those Elans looked well... a little squashed. The proportions don't look right to me - they look a little too long or a little too short (or both). Is it just the image represented or are they indeed incorrect proportions - is there someone on here 'qualified' to say? Otherwise I reckon not a bad effort.

Yes I agree, A very good effort but not quite right. The problem appears to be the incorrect length (too long) between the rear of the front wheel arch & the door. And also the bottom of the sill not being painted black. On this point why is it so many owners spend ??????? on paint work & not finish off by blacking in this little area - it totally transforms the profile of the car & gives it the "finished look". The Legend that is Chris Ross is also guilty of this, see page 33 of the Authentic Lotus Elan & plus 2 book ( Green cover edition). He too left the lower sill area white - unforgivable to my eyes.
