A few pictures of the sprint restoration
The car was in a poor state before we started with some damage to rear panel.
I will be fitting S1 rear lights and 26R fronts
Colour goes on next week

The colour is fab.
I assume that is Pistacio, sure looks real nice whatever it is.
One of my favourites, only beaten by Colorado Orange over white.
Perfect colour for the age of the car.
More pics please when you can.

I like it too, but I think it's Laurel Green, a late Plus 2 colour....here's a mate's car being painted.
Like Adam, I think the greens and oranges suit the late cars....yellow is still my fave though!!

Chris,
I like the colour as well. The pics of your Elan in the spray booth reminds me of my Elan resto a few years ago, keep taking as many photo's as you can of the rebuild, it's great to look back after it's finished.
Look forward to more photo's and the finished result.
Doug.

The colour looks v similar to Laurel Green but I picked it from some colour chips when I went to tell the bodyshop to paint it in Lotus Yellow !!
I'll keep you posted on progress

safely home
Now the hard (and fun) work starts putting it all back together after painting the engine bay etc.
The chassis, replaced by a spyder item in 1984, is in v good condition so I have only had to repaint it and replace all the suspension and bushes
There are plenty of other bits that are missing or need replacing - the wiring loom was completely fried
