UK Elan now believed to be in the States

Many years ago I read in one of the Classic Car Magazines about an s1 an Elan that was originally a UK RHD car but had crossed the pond and the owner was trying to trace any of its Uk history. It was medici blue and the Uk reg no was 801 GXN. I was just wondering if this car belonged to any of the members of this forum as I remember the car when I was a schoolboy. Anyone know anything please? Thanks

Know I'm taking a chance posting a reply 3 years on from the original post, but I would be interested to know more about the car as I am the one who posted the request for information in Classic and Sportscar, and still have the car.
