Sweet Music from 26/5255

Tonight I started the Elan for the first time ever. How sweet it was! I'm only 2.5 years into a 1 year restoration, but the wait was more than worth it. I just had the header on, which made the music even better.
Recently I've been dogged by alternating starter woes (terminal-coil joint melted) and intermittant fuel pump performance (fixed with electric Carter pump in trunk) and also slowed by a new baby boy.
Putting cherry venere on my dash is the next big step, after which there is a long, but shortening, list of small outstanding items.

I suspect one or two will probably answer that one

Dunno.....not many seem to get it.
Only once have I heard a woman comment on how good an engine sounded and that was a Rolls Merlin on a low fast pass.
I, of course, being a bloke, was speechless.
Ralph.
