Do I assume correctly that the windows are not used?

Yes, there is no windows or top, it is a complete roadster
Interesting driving in the rain. Only had to do that once so far, it was a doozy though, a five hour drive down the coast from a Lotus meet, with the mrs in the car. I was told it does not rain in California in May

A marvelous image, as usual for you. Have you posted this on ET so the modern set will understand what fat buggers Elises are?
Thanks
There is a thread on ET from a while back titled "post a picture of your Lotus next to a 'regular' car", so I did
In a few more weeks, the Elan may be faster than the Elise too
Picture is from Oct 05, just realized I never put it up here

Since you saw it, I've put in slightly stiffer springs and AVO adjustable dampers and currently the engine is out for hot cams, big valves, pistons, balancing, porting, headers, dollar bills, more dollar bills.... ugh
Also will be doing a alternator conversion, reduction gear starter, and a cartridge water pump and possibly going to 45DCOE's. We're estimating around 160hp or so
This all started out as fixing the leaky valve guides
The Mrs biological clock is ticking very loudly (I keep telling her that I don't hear anything), so I figured this might be my last chance for a while

Whoops, as for LOG, I would really like to go, but not really willing to drive the car that far, especially with no weather gear

Morgan,
LOG27 is getting discounted prices for multi car transporting for those who live away. GGLC is putting a truck for us up here. Maybe one can be setup for Southern CA. if there are others that do not want to drive. Don't give up yet. Can't wait to see the new and improved Elan.

I had briefly looked at that transport option, but it seemed too expensive an option for me. But we will see, I don't even know what I am doing next week let alone in August (life of a freelancer)
There is also talk of another unofficial meet along the coast again sometime in the late Spring
