Does anyone have photos you might have taken that shows a restoration or even something smaller like changing a cam shaft that I can use?
I need to make some step by step photo 'how-to' guides of repairs to a lotus.

If you know enough about vintage Lotus Elan service and repairs to tell others how to do it, why don't you have your own photos?
Or create the some of the LOTUS photo guides you need using the 7 and Type 14 you claim to own.

Yeah I don't know enough about Elans. I've never even had one. My dad still has his but he's on the other side of the country. I could try to find pics of a different type of car too, I just thought the Elan was a fun one to go with. Plus I think my family would like it, since they are Lotus nuts.

If you want to provide a useful site and information, write about the cars you know about restoring and servicing. Or employ someone like Rohan to write the Lotus guide(s) for your site. Most of us seek information that is truly knowledgeable, helpful and correct.

Yeah I wont be writing the guides, I'd also need help with that, and of course I would credit ALL the info back to the person and what ever websites. Prolly should have made that clear.

Maybe I'm alone in feeling this way but shouldn't we be making this site even better before spoon feeding others?

I understand, but to be clear my site is not about elans at all, its general to vehicles, just wanted some help from the elan community and I have no problem linking back to LotusElan.net.
BTW, I really like this site. And I even took my site out of my signature here.

Well I found someone who helped me with my guide. Here it is if you are interested. He's not a pro and he was nice enough to help me out. http://www.boompa.com/guide/painting-a-lotus-elan/76
