A couple of the images are scanned from magazines but most of them were taken by my own fair hand. Some are from a round of the Paul Matty hillclimb at Shelsley Walsh and others are from Classic Le Mans 2004.
If you want bigger versions please PM me and I would be happy to email you copies.
I must get round to adding captions for the images.

Are we copying one another?
I have upgraded my +2 with the same front brake setup and rear shocks and TT drive shafts!!
Out of interest, what setting have you settled for on the rear shocks?
Tim

Great website - must do one myself - having closeup photos is really helpful.
One question, in your gallery there's a blue elan in the middle - number 220 - any idea what paint that is - I'm still trying to identify a respray colour for SMS to complete my bodyshell...
Sean.

Excellent work Steve. I will look forward to checking in on your site from time to time.
Doe's the front license plate not restrict air flow to your improved cooling system?

Compliments, Steve, I'm just working on my own at the moment, with the basic but super simple googlepages free site.
Will have a thorough look now rather than going through these broing invoices at work.....it's Friday isn't it?
Mine:

Hope you don't mind Steve, I nicked one of the images of a racing +2 at the hillclimb for inspiration on my "repairs and improvements" page..

No, it is not a plate. The numbers & letters are clipped on to the mesh.
Thor I don't mind you using my pictures on your site but the least you could do is put my site in your links section BTW why change the colour? I think your +2 looks great in white I am planning to have my S4 resprayed white.
Tim, no idea on settings yet as the weather is not yet good enough to take the car out of the garage for test drives.
Sean, no idea what the colour is. Why not go to the next round of the Paul Matty hillclimb and ask the owner?

Shameless plug, no way. That is a wonderful site. Thanks for the info, putting me even further into the plans to one day own an Elan +2.

Great site....and it's prompted me to request some further information. In your radiator upgrade you show a picture of a thermostat housing with a radiator cap, so presumably a sealed system with an expansion tank?
I have recently acquired a Plus 2 with a BDA fitted (from nearly new in '69) which has a similar arrangement, but is a little old fashioned where the themostat housing pipes to the expansion tank. The pipe is copper and the expansion tank a contemporary Ford item in plastic. I'm looking to upgrade this lot, and the radiator, to all-aluminium to tidy up the engine bay...it looks very neat with the BDA but a little let down with the copper and plastic affair....any pointers to suppliers of such kit in the UK? Or folks who can custom-make the items (esp. the expansion tank)?
The standard BDA thermostat housing is the same as the Twincam one.
Cheers...Mark
