Love the slot mag wheels very groovy baby 8) The car looks to be riding a little high on its suspension.

Hello Peter, Thank you for the invitation.
Concerning the suspension height, I've seen many +2 photographs with similar heights, including factory press shots. They do look odd, it's the only thing I can attribute to comments from knowledegable friendly car buffs claiming the Elan +2 to be ugly.... I nearly drool when looking at my low sitting '69. Has anyone else heard those ugly comments?

I had never realised that it 'look high' at the back ! The only thing I cna attribute this to is 2 new Coni shockers ??

Still I like it the way it is so I suppose thats all that matters !!

You're right, as the owner that is all that matters.
I like your web page, will you be including shots of the Lotus engine and interior in the future? Your story line sounds a bit like me and my father. My parent's '53 Morris Minor convertible, '55 Sunbeam Talbot and a flock of other European cars put the car bug in me. Now at age 55 I own two Lotus and two Peugeot. whadda bug...

Peter
If you think it's high at the back,it won't be the shockers, the springs more likely.........

ah.....
I think people may have mis-interpreted what I meant.....
in the 70 it was all the rage to jack the rear end of your car up....more dagster style......it was also the period for the wolfrace slotted mags which they used to have too.....
hadnt noticed your car being any higher than anyone elses...
sorry for the confusion
cheers
