Has anyone used the online shopping at Christopher Neil???

I could not get it to work

There seem to be no images of the parts either??

Or is it my sercurity settings???

I use on line shopping for my Mini and love it as it is so easy and can do it outside of office hours.

Hi Jason,
I use chrisneils all the time and have never had a problem (however I wish they would send me the rear bearing circlips I ordered!).
The website works fine for me although I always order by phone and they are very helpful.

Would never buy from Christopher Neil. Ripped me off years ago.
Gladly took my money, then only sent half the parts I paid for, most of them incorrect. Never sent the remainder of the parts.
Regards,
Peter.

Jason,
This is my chance to sing the praise of Sue Miller again (I take every opportunity) She is just down the A12 from you which must also be a bonus :D

Mick Miller Classic Lotus 01728 603307 no online sales but Susan actually cares about her customers.

Don't know about CN these days but back in the 80's they were awful.

Thanks all

I have used Sue Miller in the past as she is relatively local and friendly and by far my preferred supplier. But if she had online shopping it would be so much easier as I am always busy at work and rarely get a chance to make a personal call. Usually I will email Sue for a price and availability, she will go away and check and email me back, I then ring her with my credit card. Online shopping would be so much easier.

With my experience of buying mini parts you can see a picture of the parts you want, pick them and it tells you if it?s in stock and how much it is including post and VAT. Great, and all this out of office hours :D

Does anyone know of Lotus parts suppliers that have an on line shopping facility??

S&J Sportscars - I found the guy foulmouthed ( described Aldon as a "bunch of c***ts") and then let me down on an item I had ordered.
Paul Matty told me that it was impossible to buy speedo cable right angle gearbox ( an item I obtained in two days from Chrisneils).
Ann Miller is always incredibly helpful.
I guess that you can't please all of the people all of the time!

Must say the reaction to CN is mixed! But in my experience they jerked me around once too often. Took my money, never delivered, gave me all the BS going. Use anyone but them now. Nobody has mentioned Miles Wilkins, the premises are a shambles but he can find anything and stocks everything.
( can be a bit blunt though). Refuses to have email, so you have to phone.

My experience of CN over they years is that they are fine for 'standard' parts such as trunnions etc (i.e. parts from other cars) and offer a good service. The quality of their specialist parts (such as hoods) can be 'mixed'.

I have always found Sue Miller and Paul Matty helpful and very easy to deal with. Although Sue is not high tech (no fancy web site) all you need is a quick phone call and she very helpful. Her postage costs are realistic as well, if something can be put in an envelope and posted she just does that, no minimum order charge or stupid postage charges (unlike some suppliers).
