Over-restored cars ?
I keep wondering about Gary,
I know he said he was leaving this forum, but I hope it is just a coincidence that we havn`t heard anything from him since that storm hit the Boston area. It would just be comforting to know that he is OK, even if he doesn`t want to speak to us. Does anybody know?

Eric, which storm are you refering to? Sandy last year maybe?
We saw Gary at the Elan 50th Celebration in early September, see my pictures here - http://www.lotuselan.net/forums/lotus-talk-f50/elan-years-the-usa-t29223.html

Pharriso,
I don`t remember when it was, but the storm seemed to be on his patch and about the time we last heard from him. I am sure it was before September so that is allright. Thankyou for the update. That looks a great event.
Thanks

I am happy to hold my hands up and plead guilty of over restoring my car, and I love it
I view this in 2 ways. In my case I bought the car as a basket case which would otherwise have been parted out and vanished into the ether. It's over restored perhaps but at least it's been saved.
On another level the difference between and over restored car and one otherwise restored is....about 3 years
